New waste water treatment plant type MBR for the ENIMED Gela office premises.

EMS Water Technology Srl is pleased to communicate the testing procedures for the new waste water treatment plant type MBR for the ENIMED Gela (CT) office premises are finished.
The new prefabricated plant, composed of highly resistant reinforced concrete, has been realized in less than 15 days and conceived with the newest building technologies and works with an MBR (Membrane Bio Reactor) treatment process.
In particular, the best currently available technology to respect the restrictive output parameters (less than 20 ppm of BOD and less than 20 ppm of SS), is membrane filtering, which ensures the outmost efficiency in BOD and Suspended Solids removal,as well as a complete bacterial purification. Therefore allowing to recycle water completely for irrigational purposes as specifically demanded by ENIMED SPA to respect the ENI Spa sustainability philosophy:
Sustainability is an imprinted tract into the ENI genetic makeup since its beginnings. That’s a business dimension creating value in time for stakeholders, Eni and society as a whole. Acting with social responsibility means creating opportunities, promoting respect for people and their rights, protecting the environment.
The membrane module is installed inside one or more tanks drawing water from the aerated oxidation sections. Inside these tanks the biological sludge are separated from the water. Sewage water to be treated is filtered from the external part towards the internal part of the membranes thanks to the sucking action of a specific pump which will subsequently send the permeate to the disinfection phase before the final spillage to the discharge or recycling.
The MBR unit designed and built by EMS Water Technology Srl exceeded ENIMED’s expectations and will soon be implemented with a GSM state-of-the-art remote control system ensuring the best assistance for its management and the control of the treatment parameters.
The EMS Water Technology Srl management would like to thank its design and construction staff for their excellent work which totally satisfied this important Customer with results obtained in a very short time.
